Welcome to our Blog

So we finally gave in and started a blog. It seems to be the thing to do these days... and we were bored this evening. Coming up with a name for our blog was interesting. Laura and Jake Alianello was just a little plain. Laura didn't like my suggestion either though - "Itella the Pun". Finally we settled on Huckleberry Tales in fond memory of our honeymoon (plus it has a bit of a pun in it:) If you dont know what a huckleberry is then you need to find out right away. It's somewhat like a blueberry, but not exactly. We had never had them before traveling to Montana. They apparently are only harvested in the wild, making them somewhat rare and expensive. Despite this, they are everywhere in NW Montana. We both feel in love with them. We had huckleberry pie, huckleberry cobbler, huckleberry soda, huckleberry tea and even brought home huckleberry wine and a huckleberry candle. So whenever we remember that awesome trip we will think about huckleberries. (By the way, we did take the photo in the title background on our honeymoon in Montana... pretty cool.) So that is where the name comes from.
